Lincolnshire land agent Charlie Bryant has been appointed a partner of property and business consultants Brown & Co. He joined the firm in 1996, practiced throughout Lincolnshire and the Cambridgeshire Fens and, since 2002, has been based at the firm’s Spalding office.
From a farming family in the Lincolnshire Wolds, Bryant went to Uppingham School before graduating with a BA Hons degree from Newcastle University. Having worked on the family farm for several years he attended Cirencester Royal Agricultural College gaining an MSc in Rural Estate Management. With a wealth of experience, Bryant carries out agency, valuation and general professional work and is an accomplished auctioneer. An AMC agent (Agricultural Mortgage Corporation) he helps arrange finance for farmers and other associated rural businesses. Managing partner Jim Major comments: “We are delighted to welcome Charlie to the partnership. After long and hugely successful land agency careers, founding partners Tom White and Nigel Wild have recently stepped down from the partnership. Remaining involved as consultants, the firm retains Tom and Nigel’s experience, wisdom and client base while gaining further strength with the addition of Charlie Bryant to the partnership.” “The UK land market has been an exciting place to be involved in the last couple of years with increased activity and soaring land prices,” says Bryant. “As we approach another selling season everything seems to bode well for the land market with strong demand but very limited supply. There is no reason why current values will not be maintained and once again agricultural land appears to be a popular choice of investment.”
